Helicopters no longer in my fleet

Bell 47 a lovely little heli from Morley helicopters.

Another blast from the past my Morley helicopters MXA, ASP46 powered, a great flyer.

MX Ranger & my very old Hirobo Gazelle.

My flying egg-whisk ! or first attempt at a twin rotor machine.
The mechanical bits are as follows --- gearboxes, rotor heads & some clutch parts are Morley mk3. All other parts are home made.
powered by a Hp 61 engine & guided with Futaba ff7 radio.
The machine flew quite well but met a premature end when one of the front rotor blades decided it had had enough & went off on its own to see what the cornfield had to offer !!!!

Maverick XR OS 61 & a very bright canopy !!!

Maverick XR mechanics in my Hughes 500.

This is my second attempt at a twin rotor machine, it is made from two Morley Maverick helicopters back to back with a home made chassis between.

The engine is an OS 61 & radio is Futaba FF8super

<< Click the picture for a video of an early flight

I was having issues with the stability in pitch, it would without warning rear nose up !!

<< Click on this picture for a video clip of the beast flying

The beast met it's demise when a bearing on the transmission failed allowing

the timing of the two rotors to slip with the obvious result !!!!!   it won't fly on one rotor !!!
